Intro to Tai Chi

Join us for an Intro to Tai Chi on Wednesday, February 4 from 9:00 – 10:15 am. The workshop will include a demonstration of tai chi followed by a short discussion of the health benefits of tai chi and an opportunity for you to try it for yourself!

If you have ever wanted to try tai chi, this workshop is for you! Tai chi has many benefits for overall health, including improving strength, flexibility and balance. It is a whole-body exercise that can be practiced anywhere, anytime and without any special equipment. Because movements are gentle and low impact, anybody can do it!

Tai Chi for Health

Tai chi has been making headlines in recent years for its many health benefits. Studies have shown that it can help improve sleep, reduce stress, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It has shown benefits for a wide range of health conditions including arthritis, pain reduction, stroke recovery, breast cancer, Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, and more.

This workshop will be hosted by the Canadian Tai Chi Academy in Kelowna. The Academy offers ongoing weekly classes in Kelowna, the Mission, and West Kelowna and classes are taught by experienced tai chi instructors.
