Leigh Austin

Leigh received her massage therapy diploma from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic in Toronto, Ontario in 2012. Leigh’s path to massage therapy has been a varied one! From organic farming to the film industry, she has worked in many different roles, all of which give her a unique perspective when connecting with her clients.

Leigh is trained in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Combined Decongestive Therapy with the prestigious Dr. Vodder School. Developed in France in 1932 by Emil and Astrid Vodder, MLD has grown to be the most well- known technique to assist lymph flow and aid in drainage of tissues. Combined Decongestive Therapy is a combination of MLD and compression bandaging most commonly used to treat lymphedema and venous insufficiency. While in massage school her practicum focus included home visits to seniors with cardiovascular and degenerative pathologies, treatment adaptations for multiple sclerosis and massage treatment in a wheelchair, and post-mastectomy massage for scar tissue, recovery, and circulation.

Leigh has a versatile treatment style and has a background working in both clinics and spas. From deep tissue therapeutic massage to full body relaxation treatments to calm the nervous system to everything in between, Leigh will create a treatment plan to address each person’s unique requirements. She is passionate about helping others have more well-being!
